THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a AIRPLANE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (Title 32), Position Description Number D1810P01 and is part of the WY 153rd Airlift Wing, National Guard.
(1)(1)Initial Qualification Training (IQT):Training to qualify the aircrew in basic aircraft flying duties without specific regard to a unit operational mission.
(2)(2)Mission Qualification Training (MQT):Training required to achieve a basic level of competence in the unit's primary tasked missions.
(3)(3)Continuation Training (CT):Training to maintain proficiency and improve aircrew capabilities to perform unit missions and aircrew proficiency sorties not flown in formal syllabus missions, tests, or evaluations.
(4)(4)Upgrade Training (UG):Training which is syllabus directed to qualify the aircrew in positions beyond that of the entry-level aircrew.
(5)(5)Special Capability Training:Training which is designed for specific missions and / or special equipment types.

Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
The Selected applicant must complete an "I-9, Employment Verification", "OF-306, Declaration of Federal Employment", and a "Declaration of Relatives in the Wyoming Military Department" prior to the appointment date.
Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.
Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives.
Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).
Relocation expenses will not be paid by the Government unless noted in the Announcement.
Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a Technician.
Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Dual Status Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f).
Must possess a minimum of 12 months on-the-job experience in the grade (or a comparable military rank) immediately below the GS-13 level.
Must possess at least 24 months working experiences in civilian aviation programs;or, military service aviation programs (active duty or reserve components);Air National Guard Wing/ Operations Group;experience in piloting and/or instructing pilot skills in fixed-wing aircraft.Experience in reading and applying mission tasks, intelligence reports, and weather information.Experience in supervising and/or conducting mission planning, mission preparations, filing of flight plans, and conducting crew briefings.Experience in aircraft preflight inspections, aircraft loading, equipment assessments, and mission manning.Experience in operating aircraft controls and equipment under VFR and IFR conditions.Experience in performing or supervising the work procedures involved in navigation, in-flight refueling, search and rescue operations, surveillance, or reconnaissance.Experience in conducting or supervising crew member training on simple to complex mission specific tasks.Experience in developing plans and policies, monitoring operations, and advising commanders.Experience in flight theory, air navigation, meteorology, flying directives, aircraft operating procedures, and mission tactics.Experience in planning and preparing for missions;and, must have at least two years experiences in piloting or instructing others in piloting specific air-frame/military aircraft.Experience in various piloting administrative tasks performed in support of Air National Guard aviation programs.Experience in aviation unit quality control management programs.
NOTE:General and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.Applicants must provide from (e.g. 02/2014 - 03/2016 or Feb 2014 - Mar 2016) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.
