The Internal Financial Quality Assurance Auditor assist the Financial Quality Assurance Manager (FQAM) in conducting audits in the areas of finance, acquisition, logistics, and capital asset management quality control of the VA Connecticut Health Care System. The primary purpose of this position is to assure the governing policies, directives and handbooks are followed within finance, acquisition, procurements, logistics and capital asset management.
The Auditor is a vital member of the Financial Quality Assurance audit team in addition to the duties listed below the incumbent would ensure compliance with financial, logistics, capital asset management and other policies governing VHA and VA, and the Office of Government Ethics are consistently conducts internal audit(e.g. Accounting, Agent Cashier, Purchase Card Program, Travel, General Post Funds, Non-Healthcare Debt, Payroll, Transit Benefits, etc.)
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position. Occational travel to Newington Campus for meetings. You may also be required to travel for educational purposes.
