About the Position: This position serves as a Fire Protection Inspector for the Directorate of Emergency Services, Fire Protection and Prevention Division on Ft. Leavenworth, Ks.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing fire protection and prevention inspections, providing technical expertise in hazardous material storage functions and ensuring that facilities are in compliance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Selective Placement Factor:In addition to the specialized experience required to qualify for the Fire Protection Inspector (GS-08 level) you
must also possess and maintain ALL the following Department of Defense (or reciprocal equivalent) certifications:Fire Inspector I and II, Fire
Instructor I, Fire Fighter I and II and HAZMAT Operations.NOTE YOU MUST ATTACH A COPY OF ALL THE REQUIRED CERTIFICATES TO YOUR
