The limit can be exceeded by working multiple temporary seasonal positions that result in a combined total greater than 1,039 hours. The limit also can be exceeded by working a single temporary seasonal appointment that exceeds 1,039 hours.
This announcement may be used to fill additional positions if identical vacancies occur within 90 days of the issue date of the referral certificate. Working Conditions: Work is performed outdoors in direct sun, carrying heavy loads, working in an ocean beach environment. The terrain can be uneven and consists of soft or hard packed sand mixed with shells and other debris. Incumbent will be subject to weather variances such as extreme heat or cold, rainy conditions and high UV and heat indexes. The incumbent will be subject to cold water temperatures, large waves and marine organisms when training or making water rescues. The work can be hazardous when dealing with blood or other body fluids when making rescues. Personal protective gear is required. Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. All travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the sole responsibility of the selected employee.
